Hola Gramatica:

Creo que no deletreaste la palabra bien.......... es

METEOROLÓGICO - (METEOROLOGICAL) que simplemente quiere decir algo relacionado con el estudio de la atmósfera especialmente el clima.

PRONÓSTICO - (PROGNOSTIC) - realacionado a prognosis - hacer una predicción - como en el caso del clima....solo una predicción.

Muchos países usan la palabra pronóstico para indicar (forecast) que suele ser relacionado al clima.

Asi que como vez, son 2 cosas distintas pero en una forma u otra parecidas.

Como dice Elaina, las dos palabras se refieren a dos cosas distintas.

meteorológico - meteorological
pronóstico - prognosis, weather forecast, prediction

La primera es un adjetivo (anything to do with the weather) y la seguna un sustantivo (a weather forcast).
