Lightbulb Muerte dulce

How do you say in English " Muerte dulce" in the following context :
Tuvo una muerte muy dulce, this is usually used when sb dies while sleeping, without being sick.

He died in his sleep.

LA gente quiere saber si la persona muerta sufrió , por eso yo diría, "he passed in his sleep without pain"

Another good option would be "he went peacefully" or "he died peacefully".
