I'm often surprised at American spellings, but this one is quite funny. Perhaps the man that painted it never went there. BBC

Btw, children from bilingual shcools here write "la skull", playing with the English meaning and the Spanish pronunciation.

I just think the guys writing it thought to vindicate Saint Hippolitus of Rome, saying he was COOL!
Thus SHCOOL. (Logical... anybody should have thought so...)
It is just an influence of this acronym ridden Internet...! ()

As far as 'skull' is concerned... well, yeah... I know the kids familiarize themselves with Jamlet, Macbeth and Mckintosh... so, no wonder...
