p.41 she could point out a good mango on a Brixto stall without [...]
Is on interchangeable with in when it comes to stall? Do they mean the same? Normally I would say on sounds wrong, because a mango is inside a shop. |

ON the Brixton stall sounds bad to me too. It may be a local British usage of the word on that is not heard in the USA.

I found a web site for the Brixton market. At least a portion of it is an open air market configured with stalls that are rented out to small independent vendors. From the images and videos it appears that some stalls are little more than tables set up at an assigned place. These stalls have no inside that goods can be inside of, just a surface that they can be on.
