¿Cómo se dice en inglés "comentario histórico/sociolingüístico de texto"?

Lo de histórico y sociolingüístico se refiere al comentario, no al texto.

Thanks. Although I wonder why I can't find that kind of text commentaries in English in Internet. That's why I asked.
