In Chile piso means also a stool

stool = taburete

In Dutch a 'stoel' = chair, and a stool = een kruk.

Looking at the dictionary it says 'piso' is also an apartment, or if I understood correctly from another topic, more a flat.

i.e. an 'apartamento' being somewhat bigger than a 'piso'.
But here in the dictionary it also says 'suite'?

Aren't suites supposed to be rather large apartments?

That's right. I think it also means apartment, however, in Chile it is not used to mean "apartment".

Un piso es más grande que un apartamento.

We say "suelo", instead of "piso".

Oh ok so in fact it is the other way around?
Ahora aún no sé si tengo un piso o un apartamento..

Suelo, only as in 'floor' I suppose not in the meaning of apartment, or also in that respect? ¿Entonces se suele decir suelo?

Piso also means floor as in 1st floor/ second floor etc.

PS: In most of the Spanish-speaking world the first floor is the ground floor. It is called the piso bajo or PB. Our first floor is their second floor.
