I know what it means, but shouldn't it be "les tienes c...."?

You will hear:
no tienes confianza en nuestros amigos no les tienes confianza (and you may add for clarification) a nuestros amigos.

You're right, Premium, it should be "les". But it's a common mistake. ;(

There's a woman in my lecture who's from north Mexico and occasionally skips some words.
