La Mecánica
I already know mecánica means mechanics, but I have a question about how it's used. I read some contest rules on the side of a box, and after the initial description, it had a section called mecánica, which I think would be like a "how it works" section. Is this right or is it a typo? I've never seen this word used like this before.

Hola Nix:
La mecánica de las cosas refers to how things work...if it is a contest, then they might be referring to rules and regulations and just plain old, how it works. As in a car, you need mecanics to make it work. It isn't widely used but once in a while "they" will throw out words that might confuse us but it just keeps us on our toes. Suerte Elaina |
