Smile Forever in my heart

Hi everyone my name is Pamela and Im from New Zealand.. I am of spanish descent my grandmothers grandfather was from Spain and travelled here his name was Manuel Jose I would like to get a tattoo this year for my mother who passed away 9 years ago she wanted to learn the spanish language before she passed but unfortunately she died before being able to.

I am wanting the words Forever in my heart but I need a precise translation as I understand that you have to be careful about whether it is intended for someone you love as in a partner or someone who is alive/dead.

Please help me thanks

¿Manuel José?

If he was from Spain, I'd think his name was most likely "José Manuel", but I see (googling it) that there is also a lot of "Manuel Josés" (unbeknownst to me up to know.)

Poli and Chileno options are ok.

I'd go with "Para siempre en mi corazón" or "Eternamente en mi corazón"...

I concur with Pablo. I'd say "para" instead of "por." That sounds intuitive to me.
