One thing doesn´t cancel the other ????

This means that you can do both things, the fact that you do one, doesn´t prevent you from doing the other thing too.

Doing X doesn't prevent you from doing Y. (replace X and Y with the things you're talking about.)

Another translation option:
(Doing) one thing doesn't rule out (doing) another.
