Ayer estaba haciendo la tarea, cuando el teléfono sonó=I was doing my homework when the phone rang
Ayer llovió todo el día=It rained all day yesterday
Ayer hacía sol y estaba depejado, pero (más tarde) empezó a llover=Yesterday, it was sunny and clear out, but (later) it started to rain
Pensaba en cursar esa asignatura, pero decidí que no=I was thinking about taking that clase, but I decided not to
After having seen that movie, I thought it was one of the best that I had ever seen
When I was living there/when I lived there, I always would/used to play tennis/I played tennis
