Tomar
Puedo usar la palabra "tomar" como, "me voy a tomar las pastillas"?
Can't it be used both ways. I have a buddy at work (Jesus) and when we are driving on the freeway he will sometimes say, "toma la salida. . . " and then the exit number; so, is it used kind of the same ways it is used in English? Thanks |

"tomar" is like the same as "get" + "take", it is also used as "beber" ("drink") like "get" and "drink".
"Voy a tomar esa salida." --- "I'll take that exit." "Voy a tomar una cerveza." --- "I'll drink a beer." / "I'll get a beer." "Toma esa taza." or "Tomá esa taza." --- "Take that cup." / "Get that cup." |
