Ir como una flecha

Cuando ví a tu hermano esta mañana iba como una flecha. Ir como una flecha significa ir muy rápido, implilca no pararse para hablar con nadie.

To dash = to go without having time to stop
To dash out
To shoot out

e.g.
I can't stop now, I have to dash out.
When the police arrived, he dashed out of the back door.

Hay un montón de maneras de decirlo.

He blew past like a hurricane.
He was running like the wind.

etc. Pero me parece que lo más inglés, puesto que estamos dispuestos a contraexagerar (voy inventando palabras), sería
