@Bob, hablas de prefijos (no sufijos), y los verbos derivados de otros verbos se conjugan de la misma manera, normalmente.
seguir (sigo) perseguir (persigo) hacer (hago) deshacer (deshago) decir (digo) predecir (predigo) etc. Hay excepciones al último ejemplo que puse. Bendecir y maldecir también se derivan de decir (la raíz), pero si echas un vistazo a la conjugación entera de decir y a la de bendecir, vas a ver que no todo es igual. Las dos desvían en los tiempos futuro y condicional, y en el participio pasivo, que es dicho (irregular) en el caso de decir, y bendicido (regular) en el de bendecir. A propósito, si ves la conjugación de predecir, verás que la conjugación del participio pasivo sale igual a la de decir (menos el prefijo), pero en los tiempos antedichos, no. Correct me if I'm wrong, anybody, but I think there is no exception to the rule that verbs with genuine Spanish prefixes always conjugate like the root verb. In the case of bendecir, ben is not really a proper prefix. This verb comes from Late Latin benedicere, which of course means speak well of, and is old enough to have developed on its own, diverging slightly from decir.
There are one or two other examples of false prefixes which I can't remember, except for andar and dar. |
