This is a discussion thread for the Daily Spanish Word for June 6, 2009
voltear (verb) — to turn over, roll over, turn upside down, turn, spill. Look up voltear in the dictionary Voltea la hoja para leer lo que tiene atrás. Turn the paper over to read what's on the other side.

Voltear, aunque se entiende, no se usa en España. Preferimos decir "dar la vuelta".
No deis la vuelta a la hoja del examen hasta que suene el timbre. |
