Un cansancio que parecía hallar en sí mismo...

Hola!

Tengo esta frase que me resulta muy turbadora:

"En esos momentos, los recuerdos de aquellos días de angustia, llenos de un cansancio que parecía hallar en sí mismo el aliento para proseguir, aun sin la certeza de una meta, se le aparecían a Susana como un sueño del que había despertado a esta vida nueva."

Me confunden dos cosas: "en sí mismo" y "proseguir". ¿A qué o quién se refieren? ¿Pudiera alguien darme una traducción?

In the text the word en si mismo is when a person is doing something herself, I mean when you do something for yourself.

And in the other phrase the expression means follow something, when you should continue with something in your life or if you're doing something very important.

Mejor que se lo expliques en español. Elisatas traduce del español al griego. Quizás no entienda él lo que has escrito. A propósito, es el cansancio que halla en sí el aliento para proseguir.

In those moments, the memories of those anguishing days, full of unrest/tiredness, that seemed to find courage in itself to continue...

Susana recuerda un tiempo pasado en el que se sintió muy angustiada y cansada, pero salió adelante, como si hubiera sido ese cansancio lo que la motivó a continuar, dado que no tenía un futuro o metas claras. Ese tiempo ya quedó atrás y ahora le parece muy lejano, como un sueño.

"In such moments, for Susana, the memories of those days of anguish --full of some weariness that seemed to find encouragement in itself to go on, even without the certainty of having a goal-- appeared now like a dream from which she had woken up to this new life."

de acuerdo con angélica. Por puro cansancio, decidió continuar. Es como cuando estás caminado en una dirección. En algún momento quizás piensas en seguir hacia otra dirección, pero como estás cansado y no quieres hacer más esfuerzos, es el propio cansancio el que te hace proseguir en la dirección.
