This is a discussion thread for the Daily Spanish Word for September 22, 2009
adivinanza (feminine noun (la)) — riddle, conundrum. Look up adivinanza in the dictionary Te voy a decir una adivinanza y tienes 30 segundos para darme la respuesta. I'm going to tell you a riddle and you have 30 seconds to give me the answer.

Adivina adivinador.
One a riddle. I hope you can resolve the riddle if you don't grasp resolve the riddle then I believe that you should to take in mind your own knowledge. Que tiene dientes y no se quiebra cuando pasa por un cabello.

¿Es el nombre del verbo adivinar la que significa "to guess"?
También he visto el dicho, "adivínate", my diccionario me dice que significa "I´ll give you a thousand guesses / You guess" Aquí es mi frase Si yo quisiera que me des adivinanzas todo el tiempo (yo) te pediría, hasta luego no me des más adivinanzas

Yes:
adivinar = to guess For me, "adivínate" is something like "guess yourself"... "You guess" would be "adivina" A normal way(colloquial) to invite someone to guess would be: Adivina adivinador Example: Adivina adivinador: es lindo y escribe en cursiva, ¿quién es?
