Cerro
This is a discussion thread for the Daily Spanish Word for August 31, 2009
cerro (masculine noun (el)) — hill. Look up cerro in the dictionary Hay un cerro atrás de mi casa y cada vez que llueve baja mucha agua. There is a hill behind my house and every time it rains, a lot of water comes down it.

I have heard the word cerro, but over here we usually say colina.
