Arenal National Park, homework assignment

Here is my report on Arenal National Park in Costa Rica. It is in a Powerpoint, but these are the words that I have on it. I would LOVE feedback and corrections. I know that the Spanish is simple. I am a high school student.

Esta parque es en la media de Costa Rica, y es la volcána más activo en la país. Obviamente, el parque tiene volcánas y montañas. El volcán principal es llamada la Volcán Arenal. Un segundo volcán está allí tambien, y es llamada Chato.

Hay visitas todo del año. Por tiempo a teimpo, partes del parque son peligroso y es necisita cerrar los senderos. El Volcán Arenal es el más activo en el mundo. La tarifa es diez dólares y el parque esta abierto de neuve a cuatro cada día.

Turistas visitan el parque para observar la actividad vaolcánica. Parte del parque es en el bosque lluvioso. Parte del parque es en las montañas. Gente se puede caminar, pescar, andar a caballo, o saltar en bungee. Gente valiente se puede ver el bosque lluvioso en cables en medio de las copas de los árboles. Hay un Sky Trek y diferentes tipas de lanchas. Si quiere conocer más de culturas nativas, hay un reserva indigena.

Hay muchos animales en el parque incluyendo monos y jaguares. Gente visita el parque para ver pájaros. Hay un variedad de serpientes. Se puede interactuar con muchos bichos en el bosque.

La gente se puede caminar, pescar, andar a caballo, o saltar en bungee. La gente valiente se puede ver el bosque lluvioso en cables en medio de las copas de los árboles. Oh my! I messed up. I am terrible at the articles--for starts. I notice that I rely on the spellchecker in English and I don't pick up on the typos when I try to write in Spanish.

en cables en medio de las copas de los árboles ... I was trying to describe sliding on zip lines through the tree canopy.

bichos = bugs. I probably ought to use insectos instead. My family visited Argentina when I was younger and we bought gummy candy called Bichos Malos. Each bug came with its own trading card. Bichos is a word in my vocabulary, but it probably isn't the best one for a school project.

I will clean it up as best as I can and repost.

I'd like to know. What does powerpoint mean?

I know that it's the software from Microsoft, but I know that it has a meaning.

You are right. Powerpoint is the software from Microsoft. For the assignment, the students make a presentation in Powerpoint. The presentation is projected for the whole class to see. Each slide (projection on screen--this is a difficult word in English because the more common meaning is the thing for children to play on) has pictures and a sentence or two on it. I want to check my grammar before my mistakes are projected in front of the class. It is common in my area for students to do homework with Powerpoint. I don't know how common it is in other places.

There are still a few errors, but it is much improved. Bichos is a good word for bugs, yes, but insectos works better for a school report. The real reason I questioned it before is because of the English verb you were trying to use originally. Very few people would be interested in visiting the park to interact with the bugs.

The first word needs changed.
Change: todo del año
Still missing a word in the phrase: El volcán Arenal es el () más activo del mundo.
The next sentence is missing a subject. You had the wrong word for entrance fee before, and now it's missing altogether.
I believe you're trying to say the park is open FROM 9 a.m. TO 4 p.m. This still needs work. Don't forget about the articles used when expressing time.
The zip line reference needs to be expanded upon. Use words that mean you're suspended from a cable and that you're going THROUGH the trees, or OVER the treetops.
A lancha is a boat. Is that what you meant to say?

Me equivoqué , yo también creo que él quiso decir "from 9 to 4"

El otro consejo es malo , aquí es más

A las nueve (de la mañana) = At 9 (in the morning)
A la un (de la tarde) = At 1 (in the aftertoon)
