Age gap

como se dice "age gap"

"there is a big age gap between them"

"You could have 2 children who are closer in age then a gap then 2 more children who are close in age"

"Podrias tener 2 ninos quienes son cerca en anos y luego un hueco y 2 mas ninos quienes son cerca en anos"??????:

I think your translation of gap as "hueco" works fine here, but look out: "cerca en años" doesn't make much sense; you can say something like "Niños que son más o menos de la misma edad."

Be careful with the use of "n" for "ñ". The word "anos" (anuses) is by no means the same as "años" (years).
The dropdown menu "Accents" will help you insert Spanish characters in your messages.

"age gap" "There's a big age gap between them"

"podrias tener 2 ninos quienes son cerca en anos y luego esperar luego 2 mas quienes son cerca en anos"????

Hola. Soy Villa. Mucho gusto. Glad you brought this up jellybabe.
There is a related term to what you are saying. "Language gaps."
A language gap is when you have words that you might know in your second language. These words can be basic or more advanced such as a person who knows how to speak Spanish or any other second language on an intermediate level but still doesn't know how to say maybe some fairly basic words or phrases. I speak Spanish and Italian. In 2007 I went to school in Italy on a scholarship and had just arrived in Italy and was talking to the front desk at the school. I was asking them in my at that time intermediate Italian about where I was going to sleep and they looked at me kind of funny as if they weren't getting what I was saying. I kept explaining at they finally said, oh you mean "lodging"/"l'alloggio". So that would be just one example of a language gap. Any way gap is hueco. So maybe language gaps would be something like "Tengo mis huecos de language/lenguaje".
So as second language learners we must fill in our language gaps.

Each time I have a new girlfriend, my mom wants me to bring her home and meet her parents.

- Papá, primero quiero hacer mi carrera profesional y después casarme. ¡No soy una solterona!
Dad, I want to have a professional career first and then get married. I'm not an old maid!

- ¿Pero qué ya nadie educa a los niños para que saluden?
Is it that nobody educates children anymore so they say hello?

- Cuando yo era joven, era una falta de educación sentarse a la mesa con la gorra puesta.
When I was young, it was impolite to sit at the table with your cap on.
