Corrections above.
There are many books, articles, etc. Chileno would recommend buying a Spanish translation of a book you would love to read (and perhaps have already read in English) and translate it into English. This will help you see how phrases in Spanish fit together. Others on this site recommend watching TV or movies in Spanish without subtitles. That will help you with listening comprehension.

I recommend finding a friend who is a native speaker of Spanish. That friend should encourage you to speak the language. (Most likely, the friend will not be able to teach you the grammar. For those questions, ask us.)

It's hard to find a Spanish native speaker at my school and community.

Also, I have homework regarding the different expressions of "to be" in Spanish.

In this forum, we give hints and answer questions about your homework, but we don't do your homework for you.

I highlighted the verbs that need to be changed.

There is a very good thread here in our forums that teaches the difference between ser and estar.

This exercise is also teaching you that the English 'to be' can sometimes be used idiomatically in Spanish.

For more information about when to use 'existential' hay, and when to use 'locational' estar, take a look at this site.

Hello.

Rusty has highlighted you the mistakes made in your post, he has reason in the points highlighted, then you should keep in mind the corrections before of write something else again.

If you need to be faster in the writing, then you could to take more time by the late afternoon and you write some many word in a piece paper, the you most to remember the new words learnt for you, and you can get that goal in the moment, for example if you have decided in to write a story in your paper or flash card then, I consider you will can get a agility to remind the new words learnt for you before.

I do it, for example when I don't know something, then I tend to search the word in the internet in any website or in the on line dictionary hosted here in the forums or well I ask you the word, and I write the word in my own dictionary made in word or some notepad, so I can remember all the words, but as sometimes it's impossible to remind all the word already I don't use all the words daily, then I consult my own dictionary and I can check it again.

I don't know if that method can help you or maybe not.
But I can find other form yet.

I try to post all the days here in the forums, but it's not enough, already beyond I try to do the best of my translations, I can't achieve the goal, because I can't study the grammar, because beyond I don't like the grammar, I can't learn all information only wrote here for you.

Then I guess my English is bad or worst sometimes, but I try to write all this all the days.
In my case only I delayed around of five minutes, because I have practice, I get the idea of I want to place in the forums and later I translate although it does't be of a good quality.

Sincerely yours.

All the corrections above are good.

Es imposible saber si es frío o calor en la sala, pero parece que las personas están bien y no tienen frío ni calor. << ¿Por qué es lo incorrecto? Pensé que si una frase es impersonal, que se usaría "ser". ¿Es correcto usar "tiene" en la frase? I didn't highlight 'tienen' because it is correctly used ('tener frío o/ni calor' is the correct idiomatic usage and you correctly conjugated 'tener'). Only the marked verb needs to be corrected. Choose another idiomatic expression that means 'to be cold (or hot)'. Your study guide should have mentioned how to say this. If not, ask us how to say 'it is cold'.

In the last sentence you are describing what someone is like. When you describe someone's characteristics, you always use ser.

Perhaps it's your study guide that is using the 'conditional' and 'impersonal' nomeclatures. It might also be using the word 'permanent'.
The link I gave you in an earlier post (on the differences between ser and estar) provides more robust guidelines. I highly suggest you adopt them instead of relying on what your study guide is teaching.

@Crotalito: The OP wanted help with their homework. That is the purpose of this thread. If I were to correct your post, my comments would be way off topic. Sorry.
