Creo que significa "A short pass to the center" o mejor "a short pass to arrive to the center" , ¿pero por qué lo fraseó así?

"a short pass so that (someone) comes now to the center"

Or maybe the phrase was supposed to read ¿"Una pelota corta para que ahora venga el centro"?

Meaning that the ball is going to be served to the center...
