el imperfecto con "que" y con preguntas

Hola a todos:

¿Se tiende a utilizar el imperfecto con las causulas de "que"?

Por ejemplo,

Dijo que era muy interesante=He said it was really interesting
Dijo que fue muy interesante=He said it was really interesting
Yo creo que fue muy interesante=I think it was really interesting
Yo creo que era muy interesante=I think it was really interesting
Me pareció que era muy interesante=I thought it was really interesting/It seemed to me that it was really interesting/I found that it was really interesting

Muchas gracias

Hola Gramatica!

A mi entendimiento.......

-Dijo que era muy interesante- leaves a lot of room for deciding whether you will be using (era) as an imperfect verb or a preterite....

-Dijo que el programa era muy interesante.-
-Dijo que el participar en el programa a diario fué muy interesante.-

To translate what you wrote, I would say.....
-Dijo que era muy interesante = He said it was really interesting.
-Dijo que fué muy interesante = He said that it was really interesting.

You know that using a preterite = a single action whereas using the imperfect would mean = a repetetive action or something done more than once.

I used to get very confused until I engrained the above rule in my head!

sosia has a spectacular aura aboutsosia has a spectacular aura about
You can use both, and it will be understandable, but Elaina's option it's the best.
With "era" it's more repetititve
"Las noches de verano eran muy divertidas"
"las noches de verano fueron muy divertidas" it's understandable but it sound's strange
with "fue" usually it's once
"El concierto de U2 fue espectacular" OK
"El concierto de U2 era espectacular" sounds like you saw it on the TV/newspaper and not live.

saludos

No.

Also, Elaina & Sosia's posts give good explanations.
