Si tengo que luchar lo haré, pero preferiría huir.

Si tenga que luchar lo haré, pero preferiría huir.

¿Puede tener el verbo "preferir" condicional en subjuntivo?
La tabla de conjugación en 123TeachMe no tiene un subjuntivo para el condicional "Preferir".

Nunca pensé en esto hasta ahora y me tiene muy confundido.

Se puede decir:

a. Si tengo que luchar, lo haré, pero prefiero huir.
b. Si tuviera que luchar, lo haría, pero preferiría huir.

No se puede decir si tenga que luchar..., porque no se permite el presente de subjunctivo en las frases que empiezan con la palabra si.

Bob, hay un manual de conjugación que ayuda a aprender la lógica, en vez de memorizar. Lo tiene Amazon: Conjugación Lengua Española, Larousse.


@Babymetal: Your sentence doesn't have the same meaning. "Si tuviera" is used when the speaker considers the possibility of fighting very remote, but "si tengo" shows the possibility of fighting is quite likely.
