Mamacito / Mamasito

Hi,
I can usually find translations when I need them, but was having trouble with one that my son asked about(which may or may not be a bad thing
There's a guy he works with that says momaseto(which is probably a very bad spelling, but how it sounds) constantly, I would appreciate the translation. Thanks so much.
Carol

The correct spelling is mamacito. I'll let someone who is familiar with its usage translate it.

Alfonso says mamacito, or the alternate spelling mamasito, means 'handsome' or 'fit boy'. He thinks it is only used in South American countries.

I also believe it can mean 'cool' or something not so nice when used as an exclamation. It can also mean anyone of the opposite sex, in a good or bad way, depending on usage.

Does anyone else want to add their two cents?

My two cents.......

Is the guy who says this gay?

It is very unusual for someone to "just say it" for everything. Maybe it isn't "mamacito" maybe it's some other word that sounds like mamacito but I couldn't find any. It could be "papacito" but I'm stretching it here. In my neck of the woods it would not mean any of the suggestions offered here.

Again, it's only worth a couple of cents......

Question

A strang thing happened that is related to your question. My fiances brother is gay and I have a family plan on my cell phone account and I got him a phone so they could talk for free across country. I got him an upgraded phone and asked that he send me the old one. I was trying to clear messages and phone contacts and ran across some messages that was sent that usually read "Hey! Mamasitau" or "Wats up? u mamasitau".

There were several messages like that and it turned my stomach to imagine who was sending that. Her brother would appear to be the man in the relationship due to not having any flamboyancy at all. But who knows, the flamboyance may be hidden until he is alone with his partner. Its hard to imagine tbh.

Anyone else ever heard this in that kind of relationship or am I imagining things?

(Hey! Mamasitau" or "Wats up? u mamasitau)

that's a strange way of spelling it even for texting.....what country is this person from? maybe we should start there...

They are in Ohio but the nationality of her brother is Lebanese. I dont know the origin of the partner though. I have never met him. We live in Georgia so its not likely I will meet that guy since her brother lives a private life and is 700 miles away.

He NEVER talks about a relationship at all. Great guy though...
