"te ha dado muy fuerte"

"te ha dado muy fuerte"

íHola!
Esta expresión "te ha dado muy fuerte", fue el comentário de una persona cuando un amigo le contó que estaba enamorado de una persona maravillosa, increíble, etc.
Creo que lo comprendo, pero me gustaría saber si hay alguna otra expresión más sencilla que la "traduzca" .

Es una forma de igualar el enamoramiento con una enfermedad infecciosa. "Te ha dado muy fuerte" es equiparar un completo enamoramiento con una fiebre de 40° (104°F). Ya lo dice claro el hablante quien se ha enamorado de una persona tan maravillosa, increíble y tantas otras cosas espectaculares que no suena muy objetivo que se diga. Como lo dice un proverbio japonés: "a los ojos del que ama, las marcas de viruela son hoyuelos".

Existen muchas frases echas.

Ej. Le ha dado fuerte el inglés meaning he shows lots of interest in English.
It hit him hard learning English???? It sounds funny to me.
