vivo yo
I've been listening to some Spanish language podcasts and in one episode they teach a song, the first line is
En mi cuidad donde vivo yo. How come it uses vivo yo and not yo vivo? Is it just a stylistic thing or is there a grammatical reason for it. thanks for any help

"donde yo vivo" or "donde vivo yo" are both correct grammatically. I think it's just a stylistic/rhyming question. Of course, the "yo" is optional altogether.

I agree with tomisimo. It's a stylistic/rhyming writing.
En mi ciudad donde vivo yo. Normal to complicate: En mi ciudad. En la ciudad donde vivo. En la ciudad donde yo vivo En mi ciudad donde yo vivo En mi ciudad donde vivo yo. |
