Hubiera versus habría

I always hear my wife and other Colombians using "hubiera". I almost never hear them use "habria". For example: "Si no existieran los aviones, no hubiera sido tan facil venir aqui."

I don't know if she's using correct grammar or not. Are there cases where "habria" should be used instead of "hubiera"?

The best grammar, of course, would use "habría", but in daily speech "hubiera" is much more commonly heard.

Specially talking about the past. "...no hubiera sido tan fácil venir" implies they indeed came. With "habría" you have to grasp it from the context.
