Smile El colmo de los colmos

I just asked a question about "to cap it all off" in the idioms section and I though about other expressions which I want to share, as well as asking you if you know of any other such 'last straw' expressions.

The Spanish word 'colmo' could be translated into English as 'the height'. I.e., el colmo de la vagancia the height of laziness; para colmo de desgracias to top o cap it all; sólo falta que para colmo (de males) nos corten el gas all we need now is for them to cut the gas off; llegó al colmo de … he even went as far as to …; ¡esto es el colmo! this is the last straw!; ¡esto ya es el colmo de los colmos! this really is the end o the limit o the last straw!

Well, here are some of these,
-¿Cual es el colmo de los colmos?
-Tener un colmado de coles en Estocolmo.
-¿Cual es el colmo de los colmos?
Perder un imperdible.
-¿Cual es el colmo de un ciego?
-Que le dé miedo la oscuridad.
-Llamarse Casimiro Miranda y vivir en el noveno B de la calle Buena vista.

You've collected some very useful expressions. I've said it before, pero el colmo de un albañil es... que se llame Armando Paredes.

I can tell you a peculiar phrase between the Mexican people.

Es el comol sin trabajo y dormido!
The last straw of a person without job and he continue sleeping 12 P.M and commonly he doesn't earn nothing of money.

It's the last straw of the last straw.
