I need help though, I need to practice it with people as in chats, to make it more interesting rather than reading it in my room.

Oye amigos , muchos Gracias.

I have been keeping up wid learning spanish for over a year now. I hardly can find people here in INDIA who speak spanish, I think interacting with fellow spanish speakers is an effective way to learn it. Can you suggest some cool ideas.

Writing here in the forums, asking questions you might have, is a great way to improve your writing skills. Pay a lot of attention to spelling, which includes the proper use of accent marks, and punctuation. For instance:
español = Spanish (an adjective, the language or a male Spaniard)
española = Spanish (an adjective or a female Spaniard)

You may also want to check out the penpals section.

As far as chatting in person, some members may be willing to do this, but you'll need a common interface and a microphone.
