In English it would be to give a ticking off, to tell off (reprender severamente a alguien).
There are other expressions with pera:
-Pedirle peras al olmo
-Ser la pera
Can you guess what they mean?

Gracias.

More or less. It's 'to take the biscuit'.

"Ser la pera" me gusta esta frase!

How do you use it?? Something like e.g.:

" Ser la pera" quiere decir " To take the biscuit" (o en Inglés americano : " To take the cake").

iGracias Irma!
