Al policía le dispararon en la pierna.
Esta frase apareció en una página web en español. Sé que el 'Al policía" es para especificar exactamente quién es el "le" se refiere a pero ¿es necesario tanto? ¿Podría usted decir "Al policía dispararon en la pierna. "? También se puede decir "¿Le dispararon en la pierna al policía?. Thank you.

My grammar book tells me that this construction is used if the direct or indirect object precedes the verb, giving the example A mis primos no les gustan los deportes.

El quid de la cuestión radica en la posición del objeto indirecto. Ha llovido ya mucho desde los tiempos de latín, donde cada palabra contaba con una terminación según su función gramatical; algo se nos ha mantenido y es la duplicación obligatoria del OD y OI cuando éste antecede al verbo:
Al policía le dispararon en la pierna. =(Le) dispararon en la pierna al policía. (Detrás, recomendable) =En la pierna (le) dispararon al policía. (Detrás, menos usual) Ejemplo con OD: El término lo acuñó el filósofo Aristóteles. [Activa inversa] =El filósofo Aristóteles acuñó el término. =El término fue acuñado por el filósofo Aristóteles. [Pasiva perifrástica] Un saludo cordial a todos. |
