Greasy spoon

Un greasy spoon es un restaurante donde preparen desayunos y almuerzos muy rápidadmente con precio bajo y calidad no tan alta tampoco.
¿Existe una palabra como greasy spoon in español ?

I'll go out on a limb and suggest restaurantucho. I've never heard the word, but it sounds logical to me and I'm sure it would be understood. I'm sure a native speaker will either confirm or denounce this, (and hopefully tell us a more common term).

I don't think there's a word for greasy spoon. Usually you know the places where you can have your breakfast or your lunch cheaper. You say that that place "tiene un buen precio / es barato".

Gracias todos.
A mi figón suena correcto pero nunca vi la palabra antes.

Usé la palabra fonda, pero creo que su significado cambia entre paises.

I've never heard that word before, sure in Spain nobody would understand you. "Fonda" is used in some places, but you can sleep in a fonda, too.

Maybe I haven't heard "figón" before because it's not possible to eat here cheap but with low quality Well, yes, it's possible, a pity in my country . But if you ask a Spanish about a place with low category, surely he'll tell you "Don't go there!" Here it is common to say "buena relación calidad - precio". There's where you must go

"Fonda" in Mexico is a small restaurant, normally not that good and usually cheap. They're open during the day, and it's not allowed to sleep in there.

That's exactly what a greasy spoon is.
