Dejar la fiesta en paz

Contexto:
Cuando discutimos con alguien, o insistimos en hacer algo, la otra persona para decir que no, dice dejemos la fiesta en paz.
English?

Oxford gives it with "tener"
tener la fiesta en paz = to enjoy some peace and quiet; tengamos la fiesta en paz that’s enough!, cut it out, let’s have some peace and quiet

I think the "that's enough!, cut it out" seems the closer.

Moliner gives,
Tengamos la fiesta en paz. Advertencia con que se trata de interrumpir una conversación o una actividad de alguien, que lleva camino de acabar en riña o discusión.

There is also,
Y aquí paz y después gloria [o y en paz]. Expresiones informales con que, precedidas a veces de puntos suspensivos, se pone fin a la exposición del planteamiento o ajuste de una cuestión: ‘Tú te vas a tu casa, yo a la mía, y aquí paz y después gloria. Si tardas mucho, me voy sin ti... y en paz’. Finalizar.

y en paz (fam):
si no tienes las seis libras dame cinco y en paz = if you haven’t got six pounds, give me five and we’ll call it quits (colloq);
si no lo quieres hacer me lo dices y en paz = if you don’t want to do it, just tell me and that’ll be an end to it;
nos dijeron en dos palabras cómo había que hacerlo y en paz = they explained very briefly how to do it and that was that
