File taxes

Hola,

¿Como se diría en español..... Have you filed your taxes yet?

The word I am having problems with is filed..... such a simple word and it's giving me a headache.

Archivar does not sound good.
Llenar also does not sound good.
Hacer does not sound proper, to me.

Help!

Llenar sounds like it could work meaning like "Have you filled out your taxes" but we can wait for a native speaker.

I agree with Chileno.

In a conversation, when you already know the time of the year (April, in Mexico), you could ask "¿Ya hiciste tu declaración?".

As for the verbs you thought of, you can say:

· Hacer una declaración de impuestos
· Llenar la forma de declaración de impuestos
· Archivar declaraciones pasadas/anteriores

- Did you file your 2010 Income Tax?
- If you didn't then please state the reason you don't have to file.
