Hola a todos
I have wanted to master Spanish for much of my life. Since I just turned 70, I figure I better get moving on it.

I have lived in California most of my life, so I know hundreds of nouns, adjectives, etc. but few verbs. I am studying at <a school> in Sacramento, California, USA.

Hola/Hello gomerel. Benvenido/Welcome. 70 is young. We will all get there some day. Some of us sooner than others.

Aprendiendo una secunda lengua es el mejor pasatiempo
y no hay mejor secunda lengua para aprender que el español.

Learning a second language is the best hobby and the best second
language to learn is Spanish.

And the good news is there was a study done that proved that adults of any age can learn a second language better than children. Think about it. Would it be easier to teach a four year old or a 70 year old how to do fractions or anything else that a four year old could not much understand. Imagine trying to explain mixed fractions and how to add them to a four year old compared to an adult. So do not believe people when they say older people cannot learn a second language or anything else for that matter.
