Excuses gamblers give themselves
Which is the English rendition of those excuses gamblers give themselves in order to justify the next bet?
I mean: "esta vez (no puedo perder/voy a ganar)" "siento que ahora tengo suerte" "ésta (vez) es la mía" "ésta (vez) se me va a dar" "ahora sí" or whichever phrase it is common among those troubled people.

I feel like I'm on a lucky streak. I'm gonna break this losing streak. The cards are in my favor now. Papa needs a new pair of shoes. I'm looking over a four-leafed clover.(this one sounds very corny to me)

Thank you a lot, poli. I needed to write something like that to illustrate my position in a discussion about how they think certain individuals and groups, but I couldn't come with something believable.
BTW, do you know if we have a "favourite threads" feature in these forums?
