Excuses gamblers give themselves

Which is the English rendition of those excuses gamblers give themselves in order to justify the next bet?

I mean:
"esta vez (no puedo perder/voy a ganar)"
"siento que ahora tengo suerte"
"ésta (vez) es la mía"
"ésta (vez) se me va a dar"
"ahora sí"

or whichever phrase it is common among those troubled people.

"siento que ahora tengo suerte"I feel lucky today
"ésta (vez) es la mía"This one's mine (but less common)
"ésta (vez) se me va a dar" This time I'm gonna hit
"ahora sí" now's the time

or whichever phrase it is common among those troubled people.

I feel like I'm on a lucky streak.

I'm gonna break this losing streak.

The cards are in my favor now.

Papa needs a new pair of shoes.

I'm looking over a four-leafed clover.(this one sounds very corny to me)

Thank you a lot, poli. I needed to write something like that to illustrate my position in a discussion about how they think certain individuals and groups, but I couldn't come with something believable.

BTW, do you know if we have a "favourite threads" feature in these forums?

What are you looking for, exactly?

If you want to keep track of a certain thread, you can store its URL in any number of places, including in your own Personal Notepad (select Control Panel to see it).
