Chilate (game)
Costa Rican friends play a game called chilate, involving 5 dried corn kernels that have their concave centers blacked out with ink. Each player tosses all 5 onto a flat surface and the winner is whoever's toss results in the highest number of blackened sides facing up.
Rather like rolling dice for the highest number of pits, it seems. Anyone else heard of such a thing? |
