Hola buenas

 

An idiom is an expression whose meaning is not readily apparent based on the individual words in the expression. This forum is dedicated to discussing idioms and other sayings.

Hola buenas

I know this is a greeting which evades the distinction between the tardeor the mañana. I know it's very common in Spain, and I think it's used in Mexico too but I'm not sure. Do you believe this is an international usage? I also assume you would never say hola buenos. Am I correct about that.
