This is a discussion thread for the Daily Spanish Word for August 8, 2009
envolver (verb) — to wrap, envelope. Look up envolver in the dictionary Voy a envolver este regalo para llevar al cumpleaños de Vanessa. I'm going to wrap this present to take to Vanessa's birthday party.

Tengo una preguntita. Cuando se utiliza 'involved' en inglés en el sentido de ' I got involved with him' o ' I was involved in this organization' o ' I was involved in this situation', ¿se utiliza 'envolver' también? Como por ejemplo:¿ 'Me quedé envuelta en esta situación'? ¿Y se utiliza también cuando se trata de 'to get involved' con alguien?

@Empanada: "Involucrarse" to get involved, "estar involucrado" to be involved, would be my first translation choices there.
