También, "hacerse de la vista larga," posiblemente de matiz caribeño.

"la vista gorda" creo que me suena nuevo... hum, gorda, vista... comió mucho con los ojos...
estoy bromeando, a todo se le puede sacar punta. "sacar punta" como a un lápiz.

I would say, to "ignore" someone or something.
