I am an US citizen that is trying to learn the Spanish language but I am struggling with it. Could somebody tell me the best way to learn spanish? Could someone tell me of good online resources and tutors that could help me?

Welcome jspjordan. Wow, that's a pretty broad question with no simple answer; all I can say is spend time here on this site where there's an excellent section about Teaching & Learning techniques - many good ideas from learners at all levels of experience. Good Luck!

I have been using https://lyricstraining.com here lately. It is a great way to practice you listening and spelling. After you do the same song over and over you will start to be able to sing a song in Spanish.

The OP has not returned in 6 months but additional questions for him or her could be:

Why are you studying Spanish?

How do you plan to use it?

What are your goals?

Have studied a foreign language before? (Doubtful.)

There are many ways and methods that can be used to acquire a foreign language.

It depends on what your porpose is.

If you want to speak and understand Spanish you should start with learning and practicing useful Spanish phrases and listen to Spanish speech as much as you can (youtube videos, online radio, audio books, songs).

If you also want to be good in writing so the best way is translating Spanish text to your native language and back to Spanish.

This is a good way! I love learning with songs. And that is a awesome site.

I personally think the best way is tu immerse yourself in the language if possible...I wouldn't have reached my level if I didn't live in Spain that's for sure. Or I probably could have it just would have taken much longer as it's harder to find native speakers to practice with.

Also another good site is this one... its similar to the lyricstraining one.
www.spanishboom.com

It has a section with songs and lyrics too.
