With no much context, I give you my take,

Priviledged wrist.

The best wicker [willow] to be able to make the best basketwork.

(I do not know if this was written before or after his defeat, but it is just metaphoric language.)

That is, he still has a very skillful and trained wrist.

Thanks for that, the context is here. To me, the expression 'privileged wrists' makes no sense, well not much sense.

Edit: I've just realised that privilegiado can mean exceptional. This explains it. That's why it looks strange in English, because privileged does not mean that.

Wow, these guys at El País... or rather JUAN JOSÉ MATEO gives quite a "fatalistic" headline, and then with small letters at the end, says Federer will come back... or "we always wait for him" or "expect him to come back". Okay. Yes, I am Rafa Nadal fan, but I know Roger, with 29 years, will be around on top of the chart for other 4 or 5 years easily...

Good point on 'privileged'! Yes, it is "exceptional".

It is good to learn that 'privileged' only has definition 2 in Moliner in English.

Yes, in this context, "it applies to someone/something exceptionally well endowed of natural qualities" "superior or specially good" (intelligence/memory)

@Perikles: "privilegiado" in Spanish is not only a synonym of "afortunado", "favorito", "opulento", "rico"...
We use it as a synonym of "excelente", "extraordinario", "sobresaliente"...
