To cut in line/queue

To cut in line/queue

Significa cuando hay una cola de gente esperando algo y alguien se mete
en la linea para el propósito de abreviar su espera. ¿Se puede decir: se
coló la cola?

Aquí diríamos "se metió en la cola" o "se brincó la cola". "Se coló en la cola" suena cacofónico, pero se entendería.

It come across in my mind the word Se quedo en la cola.

I was all the time necessary, and I finish leaving me in the end.

Here you would say (and it's the most common option) "se coló" without "la cola/fila" because its obvious and it sounds a bit strange for me...If you want to say "cola", maybe something as Angelica said is better "se metió..." (but the meaning it's not the same)

Aunque se metió en el medio de la cola sería lo mismo que se coló en la cola.

Me imagino que si ya estamos hablando de la cola y se habla de que alguien se coló, se sobre entendería que se coló en la cola, de otra manera, si digo que alguien se coló, sin más ni más, y estoy en una cola/fila para entrar al teatro, no sabría si ese alguien se coló en el teatro o en la cola.

I think the word Se metio could work too.

Pero decir:
"Ese señor se metió en el medio de la cola" no implica lo mismo que decir "Ese señor se coló [en la cola]" En la primera se pudo meter por mil motivos. En la segunda se coló, la intención está casi siempre clara.
6. intr. coloq. Dicho de una cosa: Pasar en virtud de engaño o artificio.

prnl. coloq. Introducirse a escondidas o sin permiso en alguna parte.

"Se coló en la cola/fila" me suena no mal, sino horrible. Creo que casi nunca se usaría así: en el contexto queda claro lo que querés decir, o se lo suele aclarar de otra manera. A pesar de lo que marcó chileno, sigue sonando muy redundante, aunque no lo sea. Pero por supuesto que mal no está usarlo de la manera propuesta.

Otra forma sería: "Se saltó la cola"

También, 'se saltó el turno', 'se coló en la fila', o hasta 'se adelantó a los que esperaban, sin ningún miramiento...'
¡Oiga, oiga, no se cuele y haga cola como todos los demás...! Mucho listillo suelto...

Me recuerda a algún pecadillo personal mío... estando en la Plaza de San Marcos, en Venecia, había un ascensor para subir a la torre... y yo me colé por donde salía la gente... en vez de por la entrada... un veneciano de ahí le decía a otro: 'Este debe ser americano...' (refiriéndose a mí... por lo 'listillo'...) Oh, well! (Peccata minuta!)
