Manitas
En España, cuando alguien es muy diestro en algo, o sabe hacer las cosas bien, se le llama "manitas" ("ser un manitas para arreglar las cosas de la casa..." hablando de "bricolage"...)
Moliner da esta definición: manitas 2 n. Se aplica a la persona que tiene mucha habilidad para hacer cosas con las manos. ¿Cuál sería un término equivalente en México, Chile, Argentina... en cualquier otro sitio de habla hispana? ¿Cuál sería la traducción en inglés?

En Chile existe "maestro chasquilla" y "mentolatum"

Las que se me ocurren en coloquial mexicano: ser muy bueno/buenísimo para _____, ser curioso (aunque siento que esta expresión se está volviendo algo arcaica).
- Mi abuela es buenísima para las manualidades. - Eres muy bueno para hacer estas reparaciones de emergencia. Gracias por arreglar la tubería del gas. - Mis tías son muy curiosas: saben bordar, tejer y preparar conservas. - A ese pobre niño siempre lo mandan a la escuela con los trabajos mal hechos. Su mamá debería ayudarle; hay que ser curiosa con las tareas de los hijos. - Ese muchacho no es nada curioso; no se parece en nada al papá, que es buenísimo para todas las chambas* que hace. ________ *chamba: quiere decir trabajo, en general. Aquí, trabajos de reparación doméstica (plomería, electricidad, albañilería...).

Mr. Fixit is a term, but beware of your tone because it is very often used
sarcastically. You certainly can say, he's a real Mr. Fixit unsarcastically.

Other possibilities are "s/he's handy" or "s/he's a (real) handy(wo)man". Tone of voice may affect whether these have are positive, neutral or negative connotations.
