Do Spaniards like the French, and what's up with the riots in France?

Talk about anything here, just keep it clean.

Just looking for a non-American perspective...

You can find people who like France/French people and people who don't. Being neighbourgs brings a lot of good and bad moments.

And the riots are because of terrible job regulations for young people.

French are our neighbours, so it's always the same.
We want to win them in soccer, for example.
We always says we make all things better than they.
But not more than this.
We don't like them but we don't hate them.
I don't know it's similar between Ohio & Michigan, for example.

Special contract/agreement for young people: They can fire you after two years.
It tryes to convince the employers to give more jobs to young people, other than usual part-time jobs . Perhaps not so rare for USA, but for Europe it's a bit rude. Finding a job here it's difficult, so later we expect firing us not to be too easy. The young people allied with Union Workers representatives and make big demonstrations. Some people toke advantage of the situation and fired cars.

Is it guaranteed that they will fire you or is it just a possibility? In the USA we've noticed that people with guaranteed jobs tend to not work as efficiently or as dedicated as someone who has to continually prove themselves. When you say "fired cars" do you mean to say they set cars on fire?

It's a possibility, but here is very common to take young students for a year, then take another one he next year, and so on. So it was the same but for two years. I know with guaranteed jobs tend to not work as efficiently, but its not so easy to make a family, for example, when you're not sure about your job. Here the houses are very expensive, and it's not easy to find a job. In USA it's easier to get fired, but also to find new jobs.
Yes, they set cars on fire. Perhaps 60 or 100 cars for quarter.
One day it was 1300 cars. 06/11/2005
