If... had have taken/would have taken
Last night, I was watching "Netflix's" Hanna Gadsby: Nannette (I recommend it: it develops exponentially into a critique of society, diversity and the human condition as a whole).
At certain moment she said "He said 'If Vincent Van Gogh had have taken medication, we wouldn't have the sunflowers' ". Is that "had have taken" similar to "would have taken" and any or both correct for some registry or region? I'm a bit confused .

In AmE, we would expect to hear "would have taken." It seems the British may use "had have taken."
