Wear, as in "She's wearing shoes"

Wear, as in "She's wearing shoes"

How do I say wear in spanish. Specifically "I'm wearing my new shirt".

In general, use the verb 'llevar'.

But, if you're wearing something for the first time, and that is the point you want to make, the verb 'estrenar' can be used instead.

If someone is flaunting an accessory or a piece of clothing, use 'lucir'.

The two more frequent verbs are "vestir" y "llevar". Here is what you must know:

"Llevar" can be used for all accessories.
"Vestir(se)" is only for clothes.
"Calzar", for shoes, sneakers, etc.
"Arropar" is generally for outerwears.
"Ataviarse" and "engalanarse", for beautiful luxurious clothes.
"Uniformarse", for work clothes.
"Trajearse", for high-standing clothes.
