"privacidad" vs. "intimidad"

"privacidad" vs. "intimidad"

Hola,

Quisiera entender la diferencia entre privacidad y intimidad. En inglés "Good privacy" podría significar una pared muy grueso que limita la transmisión del sonido, pero tambien podría significar la falta de intrusiones personal desde el estado. ¿Hay diferencias de este tipo entre las dos palabras en español?
