Lio de cuerdecitas

Here is a phrase from Tintin comic book.

CONTEXT: The captain has hit his head accidentally on a tent

PHRASE: Cuando se fabricaran tiendas que se tengan de pie sin todo ese lio de cuerdecitas.

MY TRANSLATION: When will the build tents you can set your foot in without all this ??

Can't translate lio de cuerdecitas in any dictionary.

cuerdecitas is the plural diminutive of cuerda (rope), in this case, the use of a diminutive doesn't mean they're small but the captain shows contempt about them.
